Public International Law Career Seminar – Insight into the Attorney General’s Department
20 May 2021 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Calling all students of law, do you have an interest in having a legal career in the field of international law? In this seminar, we will look at the Office of International Law (OIL) within the Attorney-General’s Department.
The (OIL) provides international law advice to the Australian Government. This includes legal and policy advice across government on issues involving public international law, as well as domestic and international litigation involving public international law. OIL also develops and implements international law projects within the Attorney-General’s responsibilities and assists in treaty negotiations. Gain insight and inspiration on this option by hearing first hand from the Principal Solicitor of the AG’s IL Department, Nicole Lyas, who will be sharing her journey to this fascinating field, her experiences, and other tips by attending this seminar.
This session has been arranged and facilitated by our VP External Bonifacio Arribas.
