Webinar with Stephan Page – leading Family lawyer

We are excited to announce an upcoming session with Stephan Page, a leading Family Lawyer on 12 May 2021 at 6pm via zoom.

Stephen is a dad through surrogacy and has been named by the media as one of Australia’s leading surrogacy lawyers. Since 1988, Stephen has advised in over 1600 surrogacy journeys for clients throughout Australia, and at last count in 30 countries overseas. Stephen is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a Fellow of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys and an international representative on the ART Committee of the American Bar Association, as well as being a member of various family law associations.

Stephen has presented extensively at local, national and international conferences (and written widely) about surrogacy and fertility law. His career highlights include presenting at the world’s first international surrogacy conference in Las Vegas (2011), and obtaining a world-first precedent (2012) as to what constituted “conception”. He was the convenor of Queenslanders for Equality which successfully lobbied to stop the Queensland government from enacting discriminatory changes to Queensland’s surrogacy laws. Stephen is also the inaugural recipient of the Pride in Law Award (2020).

Stephen has practised in all areas of family law and has three sub-specialties in family law:-

  • surrogacy/assisted reproductive technology;
  • domestic violence, and;
  • acting for LGBTI people.
