Virtual Networking Event for Disabled Lawyers and Law Students – DALA Event

DALA is proud to be hosting their first ever (virtual) event with esteemed guest speaker, Alastair McEwin AM, who will provide some opening remarks about his experience as a disabled lawyer. The details for the event are:

Registration is essential.

Alastair is currently a Commissioner at the Disability Royal Commission and previously served as Australia’s Disability Discrimination Commissioner, CEO of People with Disability Australia, Executive Director of Community Legal Centres NSW, Manager of the Australian Centre for Disability Law and President of the Deaf Society of NSW.

This event is open to any law students who identify as disabled. DALA wants the event to bring together disabled lawyers, law students and allies around the country, to connect and share their lived experiences, career successes and ambitions. To facilitate this, the event will move to guided group discussions after Alastair’s opening remarks.
